| Ham Balls
4 cups of ground lean ham 1/2 cup of finely chopped onion 1/4 teaspoon of pepper 2 eggs 1 cup of plain bread crumbs
Combine and mix all ingredients. Shape into 1 inch balls. Place in a shallow pan and bake at 400ºF. for 25 minutes.
Sour Cream Gravy:
2 tablespoons of shortening 2 tablespoons of flour 1/4 teaspoon of dill seed 1/4 teaspoon of marjoram 1/2 cup of water 1 1/2 cups of sour cream
Melt shortening; add flour and seasonings. Cook until it bubbles. Add water and sour cream, stirring constantly. Cook until thick. Makes 2 cups of sauce. Serve Ham Balls with Sour cream gravy, provide toothpicks for dipping. Makes approximately 48 appetizers
