| | Hot Buttered Lemonade
3 cups of water 1/2 cup of sugar 2 tablespoons of butter or margarine 1 teaspoon of grated lemon rind 1/2 cup of fresh lemon juice, about 4 lemons Garnish: thin lemon slices
Combine first 4 ingredients in a saucepan; bring to a boil, stirring until sugar dissolves. Stir in lemon juice, pour into mugs. Garnish, if desired. Yield 3 1/2 cups |
