| Mock Stroganoff
1/4 cup of onion, chopped 1 tablespoon of margarine, melted 2 tables of vegetable oil salt to taste 3 cups of cubed, cooked beef 1 can (10 3/4-ounces) of condensed tomato soup 1 can (3 or 4 ounces) of chopped mushrooms 1 (8-ounce) can of peas, drained 1 teaspoon of sugar 1 cup of sour cream hot, cooked, and buttered noodles of your choice |

Sauté onion in oil and margarine in a large frying pan; add beef and brown lightly. Stir in tomato soup, mushrooms, peas, sugar, and salt. Cover mixture, simmer 20 minutes to blend flavors. Stir in sour cream; heat just to boiling point but do not boil. Serve over buttered hot noodles. Serves 6.
