| | Beef & Rice Bake
1 pound of ground beef 1 package (1 3/8 ounces) of dry onion soup mix 3/4 cup of uncooked white rice 1 1/2 cups of boiling water one 16 ounce can of tomatoes, undrained one 4 ounce cup of shredded Cheddar cheese
Brown ground beef in a skillet; drain off excess fat. Combine with soup mix, rice, boiling water, and tomatoes. Put into a 2 quart casserole. Bake, covered, at 350ºF. for 45 minutes or until rice is tender. Uncover, sprinkle with cheese. Bake an additional 5 minutes or until cheese is melted. 6 servings |
