1 pound of elbow macaroni 1 1/2 teaspoons of onion powder 1/2 cup of butter 1 cup of grated Parmesan cheese 1/4 cup of olive oil 1 large onion 6 cloves garlic 1 pound of ground chuck 1 teaspoon of oregano salt to taste 4 eggs 1 tablespoon of flour 1/2 teaspoon of salt 1/2 cup of milk |

Cook the macaroni in boiling water seasoned with the onion powder for 10 minutes. Drain thoroughly. Brown half of the butter in a 3 quart casserole and add macaroni and the grated cheese. Mix thoroughly. Melt the remaining butter in a skillet and add olive oil. Finely chop onion and garlic and brown in this butter. add meat and cook, stirring constantly with a fork to keep it broken up, until it has lost its red color. Add oregano and salt to taste and combine with macaroni. Beat eggs until thick. Add flour, salt, and milk. Blend well. Pour over mixture in casserole and bake in 350ºF. oven for 45 minutes. Serves 6 |
