| Spiced Red Cabbage
1/4 cup of butter 1 cup of water 1 teaspoon of salt 1 small red cabbage, finely shredded 2 cooking apples, peeled, cored and sliced 3 cloves 1 tablespoon of sugar a dash of vinegar
In a saucepan, place 1 tablespoon of butter the water and salt. Add red cabbage, apples and cloves and simmer 45 minutes. Add remaining butter, sugar and vinegar and simmer for another 5 minutes. Remove cloves before serving. 4 servings |
