| Chafing Dish Paella
1 1/2 cups of quick cooking rice 1 3/4 cups of water 3/4 teaspoon of salt 1/2 teaspoon of saffron 1/8 teaspoon of black pepper 1/2 bay leaf, crumbled Small sliver of garlic 1 can of chicken fricassee with gravy or 1 cup of creamed chicken 1 cup of cooked deveined shrimp 1 cup of crab meat, all bones removed 1/2 cup of cooked peas one 3 ounce can of chopped mushrooms |

Cook rice with water, salt, saffron, pepper, bay leaf, and garlic in 1 quart chafing dish. Bring to a boil. Cover tightly. Let boil rapidly 8 to 10 minutes. Mix in remaining ingredients. Place pan over hot water. Cover pan. Let mixture heat 10 minutes or until thoroughly hot and flavors well mixed. Makes 6 or more servings
