Chinese Ham & Green Beans

2 tablespoons of butter or margarine
1 teaspoon of curry powder
1 drop of sesame oil or 1/4 teaspoon of crushed sesame seeds
1 cup of diced celery
1 large onion, peeled and diced
one 9 ounce can of pineapple tidbits
one 9 ounce package of quick frozen French style green beans
1 tablespoon of cornstarch
1/2 cup of orange juice
2 cups of thin strips cooked ham
one 5 ounce can of water chestnuts, drained and sliced thin

Melt butter or margarine in large chafing dish pan. Add curry powder and sesame oil or seeds. Stir  until curry is very hot. Add celery and onion; stir and cook 5 minutes.
Drain syrup from pineapple. Add water to syrup to make 1 cup. Stir syrup mixture into curry mixture. Add beans and cook 10 minutes, over moderate heat.
Blend cornstarch with orange juice. Stir into curry mixture. Cook, stirring constantly until mixture thickens and sauce is clear. It should boil 2 minutes. Add pineapple, ham, and chestnuts. Simmer 2 or 3 minutes, until very hot. Makes 4 to 6 servings
