Pears Luxuro

4 ripe pears
1 cup of water
1/2 cup of sugar
1 quart of vanilla ice cream
Luxuro Sauce

Pare, halve and core pears. Combine water and sugar in saucepan; bring to a boil, stirring constantly until sugar dissolves. Let boil 5 minutes. Simmer pears in syrup, covered pan, 10 to 15 minutes or until tender. Chill pears in syrup.
To serve, spoon ice cream into serving dish. Top with pear half. Add spoonful of hot Luxuro Sauce. Makes 8 servings

Luxuro Sauce

1 package of semi sweet chocolate pieces
2 tablespoons of butter
3 tablespoons of water
1/4 teaspoon of vanilla
2 tablespoons of pistachio nuts

Use small chafing dish; combine pieces, butter and water in chafing dish over hot water; cook, stirring frequently, until smooth and well blended. Add vanilla. Mix. Add nuts. Serve warm over pear dessert.
