| Creamed Chicken w/Noodles (Hungary)
one 3 pound chicken, cut up salt, pepper and flour fat 1 large onion, finely chopped 1 teaspoon of paprika 1/2 pint of coffee cream
Roll chicken in seasoned flour, fry in hot fat until brown. Add onion, sprinkle with paprika. Add enough water to cover chicken, simmer until tender, adding more water as needed. Add cream and noodles, simmer for 10 - 15 minutes longer.
Noodles: 1 1/2 cup of flour 1/2 teaspoon of salt 2 eggs warm water
Combine the flour, salt, eggs and enough warm water to make a sticky dough. Drop by teaspoon into boiling salted water. Drain, add noodles to chicken. 6 servings |
