Curried Chicken

2 small chickens about 3 pounds each
1 medium onion, chopped
1/3 cup of margarine
1 light tablespoon of curry powder
3 cups of boiling water
2 teaspoons of salt
1/4 cup of flour

Cut each chicken into pieces. Brown the onion in the margarine. Remove the onion and brown the chicken parts in the same fat. Replace the onion and add the curry powder. Pour the 3 cups of boiling water over the chicken and add the salt. Simmer until the chicken is tender. Mix the flour with a little water and add it to the chicken liquid. Stir until it is thick and smooth. Serve the chicken piping hot. Makes 6 or more servings.
