Lemon Basting Sauce for Turkey or Chicken

2 teaspoons of paprika
1 teaspoon of sugar
1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
1/4 teaspoon of dry mustard
a few grains of cayenne pepper

Blend in thoroughly.

1/2 cup of lemon juice
1/2 cup  of hot water
2 teaspoons of grated onion

Start the chicken cooking with the inside facing down, basting frequently with lemon sauce. Breasts will take 30 minutes or so depending on size. Use sauce for basting roast turkey or chicken.
