Mushroom Chicken Casserole

2 tablespoons of butter
1 3 to 3 1/2 pound fryer, cut up
salt and pepper to taste
1 package of dry onion soup mix
1 can of cream of mushroom soup

Melt butter in casserole. Place chicken in casserole. Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste. Sprinkle onion soup over top. Pour can of mushroom soup over top. Bake at 325-350ºF. for 1 to 1 1/2 hours, or until tender. Serves 4.
