| Curried Barley
4 cups of chicken broth 2/3 cup of barley 1 to 2 carrots, peeled and chopped 2 garlic cloves, minced 1/4 teaspoon of red (cayenne) pepper 1/2 teaspoon of curry powder 1/2 cup of raisins or dried currants 1/2 cup of chopped onions Plain yogurt |

Combine all ingredients except yogurt in a slow cooker. Cover and cook on HIGH 3 to 4 hours or until all liquid is absorbed and vegetables are tender. Serve topped with yogurt. Makes 8 servings
