| Hearty Alphabet Soup
1/2 pound of beef stew meat or round steak
one 1 pound can of Italian style diced tomatoes
one 8 ounce can of tomato sauce
3 cups of water
one 1 ounce envelope of onion soup mix
1/2 cup of uncooked alphabet noodles
one 16 ounce package of frozen Italian style vegetables, cooked
Cut the beef into small cubes. In a slow cooker, combine meat, tomatoes, tomato sauce, water and dry soup mix. Cover and cook on LOW 6 to 8 hours or until meat is tender. Turn control to HIGH. Add noodles. Cover and cook on HIGH 15 to 20 minutes or until noodles are cooked. Stir in cooked, drained vegetables. Serve hot. Makes 6 - 7 servings |
