| Curried Fruit
Served in place of salad. especially good with roasts and poultry.
1/2 cup of butter or margarine 1 cup of brown sugar 6 teaspoons of curry powder 1 large can of pear halves 1 large can of peaches 1 can of apricots 1 can of pineapple chunks 1 pound 3 ounces can of plums 10 maraschino cherries, optional |

Halve plums, remove stones. Start heating oven to 325ºF. Melt the butter, add sugar and curry. Drain the frits, place in casserole, add butter mixture. Bake for 1 hour uncovered. Serve warm. Serves 15
