Creamy Dill Dip

one 8 ounce package of cream cheese, softened
one 8 ounce carton of dairy sour cream
2 tablespoons of finely chopped green onion
2 teaspoons of dried dill weed
1/2 teaspoon of seasoned salt or salt
vegetable dippers, assorted crackers or chips

In a mixing bowl beat cream cheese, sour cream, onion, dill weed, and seasoned salt with an electric mixer till fluffy. Chill up to 24 hours. If dip thickens after chilling. Stir in 1 or 2 tablespoons milk. Serve with vegetable dippers, crackers, or chips. Makes 2 cups

Creamy Onion Dip: Prepare as above, except omit onion, dill weed and seasoned salt. Stir 2 tablespoons of regular onion soup mix into beaten cream cheese mixture.

Creamy Blue Cheese Dip: Prepare as above, except omit dill weed and seasoned salt. Stir 1/2 cup of crumbled bleu cheese and 1/3 cup of finely chopped walnuts into beaten cream cheese mixture.

Creamy Seafood Dip: Prepare as above, except stir one 6 1/2 ounce can of minced clams, drained or crabmeat drained, flaked and cartilage removed, into beaten cheese mixture.

Creamy Tarragon Dip: Prepare as above, except omit dill weed and seasoned salt. Stir 1/2 cup of finely chopped watercress or parsley, 1 tablespoon of lemon juice, 1 teaspoon of anchovy paste, and 1/2 teaspoon of crushed dried tarragon  into the beaten cream cheese mixture.
