| Lora's Lemon Fig Preserves
4 pounds of figs (10cups) 1 1/4 cups of water 2 tablespoons of lemon juice 6 cups of white sugar 2 to 4 lemons, sliced thin and seeded 1 tablespoons of whole cloves 1 envelope of Certo
Wash figs and cut off stems, then slice figs. Place figs, water, lemon juice, lemon slices and cloves in a large saucepan. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat. Add sugar gradually. Then bring to a rolling boil for 20 minutes, stirring constantly. Add Certo and boil 1 more minute. Pour into hot, sterilized jars and seal.
