Red Caviar Cheese Dip

12 ounces of cream cheese, room temperature
2 tablespoons of minced green onion, white park only
1/4 teaspoon of dried basil, crumbled
freshly ground pepper
one 2 ounce jar of red caviar
crackers and crudités

Combine the first 3 ingredients in blender or processor and mix until smooth. Season with pepper. Add /3 of caviar and blend until light pink. Transfer to serving bowl. Add remaining caviar, stirring gently with wooden spoon. Cover and refrigerator overnight. Let stand at room temperature for about 30 minutes before serving. Serve with crackers and crudités, Makes about 1 1/2 cups
