Aunt Mosell's Green Tomato Relish
2 gallons of green tomatoes in 3/4" dice 1/2 gallon of white onion in 1/2" dice 1 quart of banana peppers in 1/2" dice 6 cups of sugar 2 tablespoons of freshly-ground black pepper 1/2 cup of salt 1/2 gallon of white vinegar
Combine vinegar, sugar, pepper, and salt, stir until dissolved. Add remaining ingredients and bring to a full boil. Remove from heat and pack into quart jars with new ring lids. This recipe yields ?? Comments: A must for black-eye peas, or red beans.
