| Sweet Pepper Relish 1
12 red sweet peppers 12 green sweet peppers 12 medium onions 2 cups of vinegar 2 tablespoons of salt 2 1/2 cups of sugar 4 tablespoons of mustard seed 1 tablespoon of celery seed 1/2 teaspoon of whole cloves
Run peppers and onions through food chopped. Cover with boiling water and let stand 5 minutes. Drain, add vinegar, salt, and sugar. Place remaining ingredients in a spice bag and add to mixture. Boil 30 minutes. Pour in jars and seal. Makes 5 1/2 pints
1 tablespoon of pickling spices in a bag of above spices may be used
