| | Mushroom Sauce
1/2 cup of sliced fresh mushrooms 1 tablespoon of butter or margarine 1 cup of basic brown sauce 1/4 cup of sherry 1 1/2 tablespoons of finely chopped green onion 1/8 teaspoon of salt 1/8 teaspoon of pepper
Sauté the mushrooms in butter until tender; add Basic Brown sauce, sherry, onion, salt, and pepper, stirring well. Simmer 5 minutes, stirring frequently. Serve hot with roast beef or steak. Yield: about 1 1/4 cups
