Onion Sauce

12 medium onions, peeled and diced fine
1/4 cup of butter or margarine
1 teaspoon of salt
1/4 teaspoon of oregano
1 tablespoon of  Kitchen Bouquet
1/2 cup of  hot water

Cook the onions in butter or margarine 15 minutes. Stir occasionally until just tender. Add salt, oregano, and Kitchen Bouquet. Mix well. Pour mixture into glass container of mixer or blender. add hot water and cover. Blend 3 seconds or until onions are finely minced. Reheat and serve hot. Makes about 3 cups of sauce.

Great with hamburgers, sautéed liver, steak, and other meats. Delicious over small meat pastries, such as ham turnovers, and with reheated roast beef, lamb, or ham.
