| Sweet Sour Sauce
1 cup of sugar 1/2 cup of white vinegar 1/2 cup of water 1 tablespoon of chopped green pepper 1 tablespoon of chopped pimiento 1/2 teaspoon of salt 2 teaspoons of cornstarch 1 tablespoon of cold water 1 teaspoon of paprika
In a saucepan, combine the first 6 ingredients and simmer for 5 minutes. Combine the cornstarch and 1 tablespoon of cold water, add to hot mixture and cook and stir until sauce thickens. Cool slightly. Add paprika. Use to baste broiled shrimp and pass extra. Makes about 1 1/2 cups of sauce
