Italian Easter Doughnuts

Italian Easter Doughnuts

6 large eggs
2 tablespoons of whiskey
7 tablespoons of oil
1 teaspoon of baking powder
5 cups of flour or more
8 tablespoons of sugar
Pinch salt

Beat eggs, sugar, oil, salt and whiskey together and pour over flour that is on the bread board. Make a hole in center of flour on the board before pouring mixture. Be sure that the dough is not hard. Roll into ropes and cut and fix like doughnut.

Lay on floured tea towel. Have boiling water and drop 3 or 4 inches at a time, watch that they don't get together, turn. When they float - take out, and drop in cold water. Take out and put on floured tea towel and then bake about 20 minutes at 400ºF.
