Grilled Tendered Steak

3 pounds of 2 inch thick round steak or rump or chuck steak
Instant non-seasoned meat tenderizer
Kitchen Bouquet
butter or margarine

Sprinkle all sides of steak evenly with tenderizer, using about 1/2 teaspoon per pound. Do not use additional salt. To insure penetration pierce all sides deeply at 1/2 inch intervals with a long tined fork.
Combine equal amounts of kitchen bouquet and butter or margarine, heat and stir to blend, brush generously over steak. Kitchen Bouquet gives a nice brown to meat broiled at low temperature. And remember low temperature broiling lessens shrinkage. Broil on grill over coals about 12 minutes, turn and broil 10 to 15 minutes longer or until the way you like it. Meat tenderizer cuts cooking time about one fourth so don't overcook. Slice steak, diagonally, across the grain. Makes 6 to 8 servings
