Picnic Bread
FOR 1POUND LOAF
1 teaspoon of active dry yeast
1 1/2 tablespoons of sugar
2 cups of bread flour
1 teaspoon of salt
2 tablespoons of sweet pickle relish;
1 tablespoon of butter
1/2 cup of warm milk
2 tablespoons of warm water
FOR 1 1/2POUND LOAF
1 1/2 teaspoons of Active dry yeast
2 tablespoons of sugar
3 cups of bread flour
1 1/2 teaspoons of salt
1/4 cup of sweet pickle relish
1 1/2 tablespoons of butter
6 1/2 ounces of warm milk
3 tablespoons of warm water
Picnic bread is fun for cold-cuts sandwiches because it already contains relish! This bread has a sweet and spicy taste and slightly yellow color. It looks and tasted great. Add ingredients to your Bread Machine pan in the order given. This recipe can be used with the regular or rapid time bake cycles. 7-4-2010 Made the 1 pound loaf, had to add 1/2 tablespoon of water to get the dough "right"
