| Egg Nog
6 eggs, separated 3/4 cup of sugar, divided 2 cups of milk 2 cups of heavy cream 1 1/2 cups of bourbon 2 tablespoons of dark rum nutmeg
Beat egg yolks well. Add 1/2 cup of sugar and continue to beat until sugar dissolves. Add milk and cream, then slowly add bourbon and rum. Refrigerate 3 - 4 hours. When ready to serve beat egg whites until stiff. Gradually beat in 1/4 cup of sugar, fold into mixture. Sprinkle lightly with nutmeg. |
