| Holiday Hot Chocolate
1 1/2 cups of sugar 1/2 cup of cocoa 1/8 teaspoon of salt 5 cups of water one 12 ounce can of evaporated milk 2 cups of milk 3/4 cup of peppermint schnapps Sweetened whipped cream Crushed peppermint candy |

Combine the sugar, cocoa, and salt in a large Dutch oven, mix well. Gradually stir in water, bring to a boil. Add milk and cook until thoroughly heated. Stir in schnapps, pour into mugs. Garnish each with whipped cream and sprinkle with crushed peppermint. Yield 2 1/2 quarts.
