| Angel Biscuits
5 cups of flour 3 teaspoons of baking powder 1 teaspoon of salt 1 teaspoon of soda 1/4 cup of sugar 1 cup of shortening 1/4 cup of warm water 1 package of dry yeast 2 cups of buttermilk
Add yeast to warm water to dissolve 10 - 12 minutes. Combine the flour, baking powder, salt, soda, and sugar in large bowl. Cut in shortening. Combine the yeasts with buttermilk and add to flour mixture. Mix until smooth. Turn out on lightly floured surface and roll to 3/4 inch thickness. Cut to desired size. Bake at 400ºF. for 12 -1 5 minutes.
