| Gingerbread Waffles
1 cup of molasses 1/3 cup of margarine 1 1/2 teaspoons of soda 1/2 cup of sour milk 1 egg 2 cups of flour 2 teaspoons of ginger 1 teaspoon of salt
Combine the molasses and margarine and bring to a boil. Remove from heat and cool to lukewarm. Add soda, milk and well beaten egg. Sift together flour, ginger and salt, add to mixture. Do not have waffle iron too hot. Serve with whipped cream. Yield 8 waffles.
