2 cups of flour 2 cups of sugar 2 sticks of margarine 1 cup of water 4 tablespoons of cocoa 1/2 cup of buttermilk 2 eggs 1 1/2 teaspoons of soda 1 teaspoon of vanilla Frosting: 1 stick of margarine 1/3 cup of milk 4 tablespoons of cocoa 1 pound box of powdered sugar 1/2 cup of chopped pecans 1 teaspoon of vanilla
Cake: Combine the flour and sugar in a large bowl. Combine the margarine, water and cocoa in a sauce pan and bring to a boil. Pour cocoa mixture into flour and beat until well mixed. Add milk, eggs, soda and vanilla. Pour into greased 9 x 13 inch pan and bake at 350ºF. for 30 minutes. Frosting: Combine the margarine, milk and cocoa in sauce pan and bring to a boil. Remove from heat. Add powdered sugar and stir until well mixed. Add nuts and vanilla. Spread on cake while still in pan.
