| Roseanne Banana Cake
Cake: 2/3 cup of margarine 1 2/3 cups of sugar 3 eggs 1 1/4 cups of mashed bananas 2 1/4 cups of flour 1 1/4 teaspoons of baking powder 1 1/4 teaspoon of salt 1 teaspoon of salt 2/3 cup of buttermilk 2/3 cup of chopped nuts Brown Sugar Frosting: 1 cup of packed brown sugar 1/2 cup of margarine, melted 1/4 cup of milk 3 cups of sifted powdered sugar
Cake: Cream margarine and sugar until light and fluffy, blend in eggs and bananas. Combine the flour, baking powder , soda, and salt. Add buttermilk and flour mixture alternately to butter mixture, mixing well after each addition. Stir in nuts. Pour into greased and floured 13 x 9 inch baking pan. Bake at 350ºF. for 45- 50 minutes or until cake tester inserter in center comes out clean. Cool and frost with Brown Sugar Frosting. Frosting: Combine brown sugar, margarine, and milk in saucepan, bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Remove from heat, cool 10 minutes. Gradually add powdered sugar, beating until well blended.
