| Sour Cream Pound Cake
2 sticks of butter or margarine 3 cups of sugar 6 eggs, separated 3 cups of flour 1/4 teaspoon of soda 1/2pint of sour cream 1 teaspoon of vanilla
Cream the butter and sugar well. Add egg yolks one at a time. Sift together flour and soda. Add flour and sour cream (alternately) to mixture. Add vanilla. Beat egg whites stiff and fold into batter. Pour into a greased and floured tube pan and bake at 300ºF. for 1 1/2 hours. Remove from pan at once.
