two 16 ounce packages of powdered sugar, sifted one 3 1/2 ounce can of flaked coconut 1 cup of chopped nuts on3 4 ounce bottle of maraschino cherries, drained and chopped 1 egg white 3 - 4 tablespoons of milk 1 tablespoon of vanilla Chocolate Icing: one 1 ounce square of unsweetened chocolate 2 tablespoons of milk 1 tablespoon of butter or margarine 3/4 cup of sifted powdered sugar
Combine the powdered sugar, coconut, nuts, cherries, egg white, milk and vanilla. Mix thoroughly with hands until mixture holds together, add more milk if necessary. Press into a 9 x9 inch pan. Combine the chocolate, milk, and margarine. Heat and stir until chocolate is melted, beat in powdered sugar. Spread over first layer. Chill. Cut into small bars.
