Butterscotch Brownies














Butterscotch Brownies

1 stick of butter or margarine
2 cups of brown sugar, packed
2 eggs
1 teaspoon of vanilla
2 cups of flour
1 teaspoon of baking powder
1/4 teaspoon of soda
1/2 teaspoon of salt
1/2 cup of chopped pecans
one 6 ounce package of semisweet butterscotch morsels

Cream the margarine and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each. Add vanilla. Combine flour, baking powder, soda and salt, add to creamed mixture, mixing until smooth. Pour into greased 13 x 9  inch pan. Sprinkle pecans and butterscotch chips over top. Bake at 350ºF. for 30 - 35 minutes. Cut into bars while warm. Yield 36
