| 6 Layer Cookies
1 stick of butter or margarine 1 1/2 cups of graham crackers crumbs 1 can of flaked coconut 1 cup of chopped pecans one 12 ounce package of chocolate chips one 14 ounce can of condensed milk
Melt the margarine in a 13 x 9 x 2 inch pan or baking dish. Sprinkle graham cracker crumbs evenly in bottom of pan. Follow with layer of coconut, chocolate chips and nuts. Pat down each layer of coconut, chocolate chips and nuts. Pat down each layer. Top with condensed milk. With back of spoon pack the mixture down. Let this stand for a few minutes so the milk can be absorbed in the layers. Bake at 350ºF. for 25 minutes (or until the nuts begin to brown). Cool before cutting the bars. They cut better if put in refrigerator.
