Jewish Holiday Coffeecake

1 cup of sour cream
3/4 teaspoon of baking soda
1/2 cup (1 stick) of margarine
1 cup of sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon of vanilla
1 1/2 cup of self-rising flour
1/2 cup of brown sugar
1/2 cup of chopped nuts
1 teaspoon of cinnamon

Mix sour cream and soda together; let stand for 1 hour. Cream margarine and sugar together; add eggs and vanilla and beat well. Add sour cream mixture and beat until creamy. Stir in flour without beating. In small bowl, combine brown sugar, nuts and cinnamon. Heat oven to 350ºF. grease and flour a 9"x9" pan. Pour half the batter into pan and carefully sprinkle half the nut mixture on top. Add remaining batter and top with remaining nut mixture. Bake 30 minutes. Serve warm.
