| The Original Chex Party Mix
The Original Chex Party Mix has been a hit for almost half a century. Let your children help with the mixing and measuring. There is also a low-fat version of this recipe. Yields: 12 Servings
1 cup of Mixed nuts 1 cup of Pretzels 1 cup of Garlic flavored bagel chips bite size or broken up 3 cups of Corn Chex Cereal 3 cups of Rice Chex Cereal 3 cups of Wheat Chex Cereal 6 tablespoons of margarine or butter do not use tub/spread 2 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce 3/4 teaspoon of Garlic powder Seasoned salt 1-1/2 teaspoon 1/2 teaspoon of Onion powder |

Instructions Heat oven to 250ºF. Malt margarine or butter in large roasting pan in oven. Stir in seasonings. Gradually stir in remaining ingredients until evenly coated. Bake 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes. Spread on paper towels to cool. Store in airtight container.
Makes 12 Cups of snacks.
Microwave directions: Melt margarine or butter in large microwavable bowl uncovered on High. Stir in seasonings. Gradually stir in remaining ingredients until evenly coated.
Microwave uncovered on High 5 to 6 minutes, thoroughly stirring every 2 minutes. Spread on paper towels to cool. Stir in airtight container.
Important: Because microwaves cook differently, time is approximate.
