| | Lettuce Stuffed Salad
1 medium head iceberg lettuce, washed and well drained one 1/4 ounce package blue cheese two 3 ounce package of cream cheese 2 tablespoons of mayonnaise 2 tablespoons of minced green onion 6 slices pimiento stuffed olives 2 teaspoons of sweet relish salt and pepper to taste 1/2 teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce a dash of hot pepper sauce 2 slices of crisp fried bacon, well drained Sliced apples for bed
Hollow out the heart of lettuce, leaving a 1 1/2 inch shell. Beat cheeses and mayonnaise together until smooth. Add remaining ingredients and mix well. Fill lettuce shell; wrap well in a clean towel and chill 1 - 2 hours ort until cheese is firm. Cut into crosswise slices 3/4 inch thick. To serve, layer a platter with sliced apples. Set the sliced lettuce over apples and serve. |
