Baked Shad

Baked Shad

one 3 - 5 pound shad, cleaned
salt and pepper to taste
4 tablespoons of butter or margarine, melted
3 tablespoons of lemon juice

 
Place shad on sheet of heavy aluminum foil, separate with salt and pepper. Combine melted butter with lemon juice, pour over shad. Wrap securely with foil, sealing edges. Bake at 225ºF.  for 5 hours. Yield 4 -6 servings
