Scalloped Oysters 2

2/3 cup of butter
4 cups of toasted bread or cracker crumbs
1 teaspoon of salt
1/4 teaspoon of paprika
1 tablespoon of finely chopped celery
2 drops of Tabasco sauce
1 quart of oysters
3 cups of milk



Melt the butter, add crumbs, salt, paprika, celery and Tabasco. Pick over oysters, removing any shell. Place layer of crumbs in 2 1/2 quart buttered baking dish, cover with one half of oysters and a small amount of milk. Add a layer of crumbs, remaining oysters and a small amount of milk, cover with remaining crumbs and milk. Bake at 350ºF. for 25 minutes. Yield 8 servings
